To prepare all children for this life and eternal life through Christ-centered education.
All children – Our goal is to serve all children including those of our area WELS congregations and in our community.
For this life – Our goal is to prepare elementary (K-8) students for citizenship here on earth with academic excellence.
For eternal life – Our goal is to prepare students for citizenship in heaven with Bible-based instruction.
Through Christ-centered education – Our goal is to prepare students using the best education possible, and in all things focus on what Christ has done for us.

School History

Resurrection Lutheran School opened in the fall of 1970 as a one room school with thirteen students in Grades K-5 taught by Mr. Steve Rutschow, a new graduate from Dr. Martin Luther College (now Martin Luther College).  The school was located in downtown Rochester at 407 14th St. NW.

In 1985 the school moved to its current location at 4520 19th Ave. NW and started the school year with 77 students.  In 2001 six classrooms and office spaces were added to accommodate the growth of the school to 130 students.  In 2002, the preschool was established, extending our Christian education system from early childhood to grade 8.

Resurrection Lutheran School has served the Rochester community for the past 50 years.
