My hardworking, Christian parents, Linda and Denny, raised their family of 5 in North Saint Paul, MN. My bubbly older sister, Becky, is a Lutheran grade school teacher in Nebraska and my adventurous younger brother, Mike, works with large machinery and lives in Forest Lake, MN. I adore my grade school teachers from Christ Lutheran and am privileged to attend teacher's conference with them once a year! After high school graduation at St. Croix Lutheran, I attended Bethany Lutheran for one year and then transferred to Martin Luther College.
I spent the first four years out of college teaching English to high school students in China where I learned just how big the world is out there. This experience changed my life in many ways but my favorite was having the opportunity to see how valuable my Christian education was and still is today. The people there (and around the world!) are hungry to know about God. I am currently enjoying my ninth year of service as the fourth grade teacher here at Resurrection.
The Lord has blessed me in many ways, one big blessing is my family! Three of my four grandparents, an aunt and uncle are all whooping it up in heaven and we’re loving that our Nana is still here with us. My brother married an incredible, Christian woman, Sarah, and they have 3 children who light up the room in a heartbeat and know how to make us laugh!
I am excited about health and wellness. I haven't felt well for a huge chunk of my life and I'm extremely thankful for the blessing of health these days. I now feel better than ever and it feels so good to feel so good! I also enjoy shopping, watching sports like football (I bleed purple and gold), basketball, and talented people playing soccer. I also like to play softball!
God has richly blessed us here in Rochester! I am a member of Christ Our Rock Lutheran Church and love my time helping with their children’s ministry programs.
One of my favorite Bible passages: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will (EVER) be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38, 39
